Meet the Black Hole Organ Trio

The Black Hole Organ Trio is a blues, funk, jazz, and country-inspired group based in NYC. The trio consists of Jackson Potter on guitar, Adam Narimatsu on organ, and Brad Bailey on drums.

Adam Narimatsu

Adam Narimatsu is an NYC organist firmly rooted in the blues and funk tradition. An early obsession with boogie woogie piano prepped his left hand for the bass duties in the Black Hole Organ Trio, and his playing blends soul and speed with inspiration from legends like Jimmy Smith, Sam Fribush, and Chester Thompson.

Jackson Potter

"Raised on the blues but trained in jazz," Jackson Potter is a versatile guitarist hailing from St. Paul, MN. First learning to play live as a teenager at local blues bars in the twin cities, Jackson developed an interest in jazz music in high school and went on to earn degrees in jazz performance from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami as well as the Manhattan School of Music. Additionally, he has released two jazz albums as a leader. However, Jackson's first love of the blues has remained a core foundation in his musical style. Today, his playing blends an eclectic set of influences including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Wes Montgomery, Nat "King" Cole, Tony Rice, and Stevie Wonder.
